WE RESTORE FORD MUSTANGS FROM 1964 TO 1973

IMG_9444.jpg

The Mustang debuted at there 1964 World's Fair and launched as a 1965 model.  It was an instant success, selling 22,000 units on the first day.  The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of the automobile known as the "pony car".  The Mustang styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and sold over a million units within two years.

My History

"I blame my passion for Mustangs on my parents.  When they met, they were both driving early convertible Mustangs.

I got my first Mustang, a 1966 convertible, when I was 17 and a junior in high school.  Shortly after, I joined the Georgia Regional Mustang Club and the Mustang Club of America.  I became quite active in the GRMC and attended a lot of car shows.  I began working on Mustangs out of a necessity.  I worked on my car and my friends cars at first.  Later, I got a job restoring early model Mustangs.

After 30 plus years of working in this field, I decided to open Rick's Pony Car Restorations to continue my passion for Mustangs.  I want to maintain the highest level of work to help other people enjoy Mustangs and the hobby as much as I have."

Testimonial

Since the early 90s, I have taken my classic mustang to Rick for a variety of different projects. Over the years, Rick has upgraded all the basics such as front/rear suspension, fuel system, brakes, clutch, valve train and cooling system. I have always been impressed with the level of workmanship, knowledge and attention to detail that Rick has put into each of those projects. Once I heard Rick opened Classic and Custom Restorations, my car was in his shop a few days later with a brand new project list. I am looking forward to getting my project completed and doing more business with Rick in the near future.
